The genesis of Leathergraft

LeatherGraft began in 1979, inside a small workshop on Smithdown Road, Liverpool, where our family set out with a simple belief: craft should be honest, durable, and made to last. What started as a modest operation quickly grew into a passion shared across three generations, each adding their own skills, ideas, and dedication to the craft.

As demand for our work grew, so did we. That small workshop evolved into our current factorys in Huyton, where tradition and innovation now work side by side. We still use many of the traditional leatherworking techniques that shaped our early years, but we’ve never stopped learning, refining, and developing new methods to meet the needs of modern makers and musicians.

Over the decades, LeatherGraft has proudly supplied well‑known artists around the world with our signature range of guitar straps—pieces built not just to perform, but to become part of a musician’s journey. Alongside our own products, we’ve also become a trusted contract manufacturer for respected brands who rely on our craftsmanship, consistency, and attention to detail.
